25-1-12 Venue: O’Donovan’s Hotel, Clonakilty 8.30pm
A visit by Cork Camera Group. Members of CCG have had much recent success in IPF and RPS Distinctions and a number of successful panelists will be showing their work. This is a great opportunity to see fellow amateur enthusiasts work and to gain an appreciation of the standards that can be acheived through hard work.

8-2-12 Venue: O’Donovan’s Hotel, Clonakilty 8.30pm
Tadg Spillane, a Club member and professional photographer, will demonstrate how it is possible to light a subject using available window light or simple everyday lights and reflectors. After the demonstration, there will be an opportunity for members to have a go. A model will be available, so bring along your camera and tripod. This evening will take place in The Venue, downstairs in O’Donovan’s Hotel.
22-2-12 Venue: O’Donovan’s Hotel, Clonakilty 8.30pm
Members will be divided into groups based on their responses to the questionnaire and there will be the opportunity to learn how to manipulate and edit your digital images. For those new to the “digital workflow” there will be the chance to pick up some basic editing techniques, while for the more experienced users, questions can be asked and answered in addition to seeing more advanced techniques at work.
29-2-12 Venue: O’Donovan’s Hotel, Clonakilty 8.30pm
This is the first of the in-between meetings and is based upon the Portrait session of 8-2-12. Tadg will be demonstrating how to use Photoshop CS5 to edit the portrait photographs he takes. Ideal for those interested in furthering their expertise in portrait photography.
7-3-12 Venue: O’Donovan’s Hotel, Clonakilty 8.30pm
A panel of 3 Club members will be judging the printed entries for this, the first round of the League. Judging will take place in front of the members. It is hoped that the judges will be able to offer their thoughts after the judging is completed. Results announced on the night.
10-3-12 Venue: Celtic Ross Hotel, Rosscarbery 8.00pm
This years dinner will again be held in the Celtic Ross Hotel, Rosscarbery.
The presentation of The Photographer of the Year 2011 will be made in addition to the other Club awards. The evening will cost €30 p.p and will include an a la carte meal, wine or soft drinks. Partners are most welcome to attend this gala evening.
14-3-12 Venue: O’Donovan’s Hotel, Clonakilty 8.30pm
The opportunity to have up to 2 images critiqued by an experienced Club member. This will be done in an open forum. To attend you must bring a printed image to be critiqued. This is a valuable, if nerve wracking experience! Putting your work forward to be discussed by others can be daunting, but much can be learnt and it’s an essential part of a photographer’s development.
